H&R were contacted by Sara following her being recommended to us by a previous client. Having visited the property with our design team and discussing a basic ‘wish list’ with Sara, we were able to come up with a full design spec to totally re-model her apartment. After several meetings and putting forward various design ideas and concepts, we were awarded the contract to carry out all works (a total interior refurbishment of the one bed apartment) in her absence. Despite this ‘wish list’ we were given a relatively blank canvas when it came to designing Sara’s apartment

Sara’s main request for the kitchen/dining area was to maximise the usable space. This was achieved by a unique, handmade breakfast bar and high quality compact kitchen. As part of the package, we also installed all new white goods with a space saving theme in mind. One specific request from Sara was to be able to enjoy the view from her window in the lounge area, H&R accomplished this by designing a bespoke piece of window furniture which also incorporated much needed storage space below.

As for the bedroom, another specific request of Sara’s was to upgrade the window and increase the lighting and ambiance of the room. We further enhanced the aesthetics and functionality of the bedroom by designing and fitting a high gloss wardrobe system with build in lockable storage units which also doubled up as a viewing platform for the newly fitted window.

Furthermore, we completely refurbished the stairway to feature stair-lighting which led into the ‘mini penthouse styled’ bathroom. Not only was this fitted with a combination of contemporary black slate tiles and modern fittings, but H&R designed bespoke glass shelving with LED spot lights.
